Make | Card – “Dream Big”

Dream Big card | Blackbird Darlin

I don’t use foam adhesive very often, but the cloud and hot air balloon were just begging for a bit of a pop on this one. This was an easy card to put together with very minimal product!

After cutting the piece of patterned paper to fit the card base, I layered the smaller cloud sticker on top of the larger one with the pop dots, adhered pop dots to the back of the hot air balloon, and then stuck them down. The Dream Big title sticker I just placed at the bottom and then trimmed the overlapping edges. Done and done!

I have no interest in ever riding in a hot air balloon, but they sure are cute aren’t they?

Lyrics | "You and I" | Avalanche City

I heard an Avalanche City song on a commercial the other day, and got excited about it in the way that I always get excited over those kinds of things. My personal favorite by this New Zealand artist is this particular one though…I think a lot of us out there can identify with wanting to fill a whole room full of something we’re addicted to. Hehe ;)

(And can we talk about how adorable this video is?! It kills me every time I watch it)

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Supplies Used: cardstock (Bazzill), patterned paper (My Mind’s Eye Lost and Found pad), border punch (Fiskars Threading Water), die cut letters (Quickutz Chandelier die), letter stamps (Studio G)

Make | Card – “Come Away With Me”

"Come Away With Me" Card | Blackbird Darlin

I have such a weakness for travel themed paper products. Here is an example of me putting some of them to use. YEAH!

The patterned background, map image, and banner are all taken from the My Mind’s Eye Come Away With Me 6×6 paper pad. I cut the cream and kraft circle with these Quickutz dies, and stuck a couple of gunmetal colored brads through the map to add a bit of dimension. Mmmmmmm dimensiiionnn…

I also had to ink around the patterned paper because I can’t seem to not do that.

And for once, the photo corners are actually not real photo corners. Ancient QK 2×2 die! Booyah! Getting used!
