I love this photo, so I knew I wanted this one to be featured on a page of its own. It sat for months though, until I hit upon this 4×6 journaling card from a Becky Higgins mini Project Life kit. I lived in that town for seven years (and the Herald building is pretty iconic there), so it was the perfect sentiment for this shot!
Of course, the card was corner rounded (BLERG!), so I fixed that little problem with a couple of kraft photo corners. I also trimmed the bottom of the card to fit the brick patterned paper, and added a little strip of kraft cardstock to separate the two pieces a bit. I painted the wood veneer hearts with a light brush of white acrylic paint because they got a little lost on the brown patterned paper, and I really wanted to include them somewhere…embracing embellishments, that’s been my MO this year!
Supplies Used: brown patterned paper (stash – old American Crafts), white brick paper (Crate Paper Open Road 6×6 pad), title (Becky Higgins Project Life Travel cards), journaling spot (Crate Paper Open Road ephemera), wood hearts (Citrus Twist Kits), date stamp
