Make | 12×12 Layout – Sunday Brunch

12x12 Scrapbook Layout | "Sunday Brunch" | Blackbird Darlin

For those of you still mourning the loss of Scenic Route, this layout might be too painful to look at right now. Not only did I dig pretty far into my stash for this one, it was Halloween themed paper to boot.

Well, the B side of the themed paper at least.

I found the camera themed washi tape at Michael’s, but I’ve found Etsy to be a good source for this latest addiction. Seattle is pretty lacking in paper craft supplies (and I don’t own a car anymore), so almost everything is bought online these days. Quickutz Metro classic alphabet for the title, and my (NEW! PINK!) Dymo label maker to make up the captions.

My favorite part about this layout? No cropping! One 4X6 print and four 3×3 border prints = BOOM. Done.

I have a lot of Scenic Route lying around too as I took a lot of the owner’s classes at Scrapbook Expos. I love the story and simplicity of your layout. Sometimes I feel like the message is lost among the overdecorating these days.

Aw, thanks, Michelle! I finally had to make myself stop buying so many embellishments, because I never use them…I’ve seen so many beautiful cluster style layouts lately, but my brain just can’t seem to make it work :/

I think I’ll always be stuck in the Becky Higgins pre-Project Life era ;)

Thanks for your comment on my blog, fellow Seattleite! (Or maybe I don’t count since I’m on the Eastside…) I love the striped paper on your layout, and the fact that you used more than one photo!!

Anandi, when I lived in Bellingham, I always told people I lived “north of Seattle” because no one ever knew where that was, and if I said “Washington” they always thought I meant D.C….so you definitely count ;)

Fun layout! Is that strip of cameras really washi tape?

    • Lisa May 7, 2013 at 8:00 PM #

Linda, the Recollections brand has it listed as “crafting tape” so I’m assuming it’s the same? I have yet to figure out the difference!
