Make | 6×8 (and 8×8) Project Life – January

6x8 Project Life - January

Moving along with the Project Life pages, because that is all I can seem to work on lately!

This spread is crazy simple…just cards for the pockets, journaling, and a touch of stamping. I added an insert by (once again) cutting a 6×8 page of 3×4 pockets in half so I had a little more room to work with. The “Love this cover” card was made with a mix of a phrase stamp from Studio Calico, and that Kelly Purkey alphabet that I’m loving so much right now!

I had to put that Vogue cover in my book, I love it so much. (Oh…and please note that it’s “Bass” not “Ass” Drum of Death in that photo. I couldn’t seem to edit it enough to have that show up very well, lol)

6x8 Project Life | January

All I have been working on lately is Project Life stuff, so here’s another complete spread!

With all the pages I’ve been making, I went to purchase more albums and found that my favorite 8×8 style by We R Memory Keepers has been DISCONTINUED. Agggghhh! A broad search on the internet brought up some pink ones in stock, so I had to snag a couple right away. But if anyone has any 8×8 We R albums they need to get rid of, contact me! I’m not ready to switch to another size yet. Sigh.

So anyway, remember how excited I was about Simple Stories new 4×6 protectors? Well, here is one of them in action! I printed these two local newspaper covers from the Newseum website, and added to this protector…love this addition to that crazy Seahawks playoff game.

The facing page is from a January magazine that made the perfect background for a list of books I read that month. (Now if only every issue I receive had a photo of a fashionable woman with a stack of books in it)

6x8 Project Life | January

Yay for scrapping again! I’ve been on a crazy spree lately of trying to get my 2015 album caught up, and it’s getting there…slowly, but surely. (My worst habit is leaving a spot for journaling, but then moving on to other things before I actually get it written down)

I stumbled upon this quote on Pinterest and, oh man…was so in need of seeing those words, so it had to go in the book. I typed it out in a Word document in a font I liked, and printed out on plain white cardstock. Think I might try to do this more often, I love how bold and simple it is.

Side note, I am so in love with the clear alphabet stamps from Kelly Purkey’s new line! Already desperate for more of this size of alphabet.

6x8 Project Life | January (2)

Supplies Used: journaling cards (Citrus Twist Kits, One Little Bird Prix Fixe), patterned paper (Crate Paper Kiss Kiss 6×6 pad, Recollections), alphabet stamps (Clearly Kelly Outline letters), vellum title (Maggie Holmes Open Book vellum ephemera)

Life | England Trip

EnglandCollage

The month of April took the ever lovin wind out of me you guys. Holy crap.

I spent two weeks with boyfriendman driving all over England (and part of Wales), never staying in one place for more than two days. It was lovely, amazing, and super exhausting! Seeing Chatsworth, the outside of Highclere (Downton Abbey), and Jane Austen’s house were major highlights for me. My love for Seattle runs deep, but I still found myself not ready to go home yet. I already can’t wait to go back.

After arriving home, I had exactly two full days here before leaving for a work trip in Portland for six days. During then, I got some awesome news that I’ll probably share here at some point, but it’s still pretty new and I can be weird about posting things on the internet. (It involves music, not scrapbooking, I’ll say that at least!)

So in a nutshell, I have not been able to craft or concentrate on blogging for the last few weeks, but I have been Project Lifeing up a storm the last few days…YAY FINALLY!

Love | Sunday Song #6

Another one that I’m excited to get a full album release from…smooth, old Motown sound from a 25 year old Texan. Loving this right now.
